At the age of 19, Edwin Tazelaar was drafted into the US Army and served with the 1st Infantry Division in Vietnam in 1967. After Ed’s release from active duty from the army, Ed, being a “people person” and wanting to serve his community where he grew up, wanted to be a Police Officer. In 1970, Ed’s dream became a reality when he began his employment and sworn in as a Police Officer in his home community. It was during his second year as a Police Officer, that he was assigned the additional role to working with the local school district as “Officer Friendly” with the District’s 1st through 6th grades for several more years. After seven years of service to his community as a Police Officer, he decided to become an independent licensed Insurance/Agent Broker in Illinois. Having that same strong feeling of wanting to help people, resolve their insurance needs.
Ed has now published this book based on his own real-life experience in reuniting a mother and her daughter who was abducted from her home, knowing that now is the time to share this particular experience that he had, starting in the summer of 1980.
